With the new Jelly Music application coming out in February 2012, we are building toward Australia's largest ever connected classroom event for a Music Education program. Classroom Generalists and Music Specialists are all welcome to participate in what we feel will be an event of national significance. JozzBeat Interactive is the leading digital music education company in Australia.  Our clients include Musica Viva, Music. So What Is Jelly Music?

We are currently developing a very exciting new Primary Classroom Music application called 'JellyMusic'. It is world leading in classroom Music Education and technology integration!! Launching in May 2012, it will begin by incorporating the 'Ramp Up' Lesson Plans resource plus other interactive content into it. It is an application that teachers can use either with the internet connected to their Interactive Whiteboard, or run independent of the internet.

What Is The JellyMusic National Classroom Music Project? 

The formal period of the JellyMusic National Classroom Music Project will be from Term 2, 2012. It will involve schools working through the pieces included in JellyMusic, for Kindergarten/Prep/Reception through to Yr. 7.  A lesson per class per week is the recommended requirement. The material has been tried and tested with over 15,000 students in the Jellybeans Music In-Schools program.

An instant feedback link to a brief, quick to fill in web form will be included in the JellyMusic app. The form asks about teacher response, student's response, overall achievement of expected outcomes, overall enjoyment, how any technology was used in the lesson etc. Participants will be encouraged to regularly provide feedback on their lessons through this quick and easy method.

'Community and Contact'

A very exciting aspect of the project is the 'Community and Contact' zone. This is an internet portal (and possibly a smart phone app) that enables ALL schools and participants from across the nation to:

- Share teaching ideas

- Post comments

- Ask questions to other teachers or directly to JozzBeat

- Post audio (class recordings) to share

- Post video (concerts, performances) to share

- Unique hashtag to follow teacher's comments on Twitter..... and more!

Music teachers from Bourke to Broome will be able to communicate together, whilst all using the same repertoire as a contact point ! A unique opportunity to link our Music Education community together across the country.
